At LD Landscaping, we’re proud to have deep roots in the industry—roots that were planted when our founders, Matt (pictured left) and Des (pictured right), were just kids.
Growing up in Winnipeg, they each developed a strong work ethic and passion for landscaping from an early age.
Des spent countless hours caring for his grandparents’ six-acre property, learning the importance of attention to detail and the satisfaction of transforming a space. Meanwhile, Matt took on the task of mowing every lawn in his neighborhood year after year, building a reputation for reliability and hard work. By the time they were teenagers, it was clear they had a natural talent for landscaping and a shared entrepreneurial spirit.
In April of 2025, Matt and Des decided to take their skills to the next level and launch LD Landscaping. What started as a small venture focused on residential jobs—such as paving, rock installation,fencing, staining, and lawn care—has quickly grown into a thriving business. Along the way, they have faced challenges, learned invaluable lessons, and refined their craft.
Today, LD Landscaping is already becoming a well-established, full-service landscaping company that handles both residential and commercial projects. With a growing team of skilled professionals, we take on everything from custom outdoor spaces to large-scale commercial developments. Our dedication to quality and customer satisfaction has helped us expand significantly, completing numerous projects each month for both residential clients and businesses.
Matt now oversees the day-to-day operations, driving the company forward with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
